Funding the Transformation

The transformation is being funded through private funding from the A Wilder Vision Capital Campaign, combined with Monroe County Capital Funding.

Capital Campaign Funding

The funding required for the five-year transformation is anticipated to be $60 million.

Monroe County, operator of the Seneca Park Zoo, has committed $37 million through its Capital Improvement Project budget.

The Seneca Park Zoo Society, the Zoo’s non-profit partner, is raising the remaining $23 million to ensure the complete transition of the Zoo. The Zoo Society has full commitment from their Board of Trustees, with 100% of the board donating to the campaign.
